'Wander Carefully' - Tokio She rarely slept well as of late – it was always something or the other. Sometimes she'd made her way to the window, throwing it open for a brief instant, enjoying the chill of the night air. It was always the window facing the village – never facing the back of the inn; she'd been trained from childhood never to do that, save for in the daylight, and sparingly. So she chose to avoid it almost entirely. Leaning on her palms now, she let the wind ruffle her hair, blue eyes closed against the bite of the coming snow. HP - Mothers Day 2012 Laurent grinned as he walked back into his house, slamming the door shut behind him. He remembered feeling this way years ago, when he'd been a child, but it'd been ages since he'd felt so full of happiness. He hadn't stopped grinning – it was so strange. He walked into his kitchen after dropping his trunk in his room, seeing – just as he'd expected, his mother Lenna sitting there, typing something out on her laptop. This hadn't changed for years. There were still piles upon piles of paper all around her, some neatly ordered, some in manila folders, some spread out to accent certain parts that had already been highlighted –HP - Mothers Day 2012 by *StrawberriOnTop

Konomi - Childhood - 1 Konomi watched as the bug made its way along the arm of the chair, antennae flicking this way and that. It was dangerously close to her own arm, but it didn't bother her in the slightest. It was an ugly little thing, shiny and black, with a few flecks of white on its folded wings. She'd been sitting still for what seemed like hours, though she knew it'd probably been about 20 minutes.

Sighing, she sank lower in the chair, only to have her posture corrected by a painful tug on her hair. "Konomi, honestly, sit still." It was her aunt's voice – Kozakura, the elder of Konomi's father's two sisters.

_{Sometimes I wonder. |D;

Today, when I was going to lunch, I saw there was a mess of papers in the hallway.  Now, my school is really dirty, so this is nothing out of the ordinary.  ( There's usually lunch trays/food/trash everywhere, and people don't really care.  Sometimes I pick them up, but it really grosses me out >>; )  I walked by them the first time, because my friend was with me, and she usually goes "Really?" when I do things like clean up.  But after dropping my stuff off in the math class, I went back upstairs -- because although I don't like school and I don't like cleaning up - much less somebody else's crap, I had an urge to (and Berri's very impulse-driven).  And, it's not like it's that much work to squat real quick and pick up some papers and trash.  I figured they were from the senior locker clean-out, because that had happened earlier today.

Anyways, I'm picking them up to throw them out, and as I throw most of them away, I'm left with this paper-clipped packet.  I glanced at it, and since it had something to do with scholarships, I figured it might be important.  So I was like "ff this has already wasted enough time but it won't really hurt me if I go to Mrs. E (our senior sponsor) and ask her if this is important" -- her classroom was right there anyways...and though I'm lazy, I'm not that lazy.

I walk in, and I was like "Ms. E, I found this paper and I thought it might be important.  Do you know this guy?"

She looks through it, and goes.  "...wow.  Yeah, this is important.  Where did you find this?"

And I was like "Oh, there was a pile of trash papers in the hallway.  I picked them up and saw it."

So she told me she'd go give them to the teacher that needed the papers, and thanked me.

What I really wanted to know was why on earth someone would (literally) throw a scholarship opportunity on the ground -- especially in the area I go to school, where money really is an issue.  I don't even.  I was half like - "I should've just thrown that away with the rest of them" and half "I guess it was good I found that?"

And then there's my art class.  Glaargh.
Our teacher looks pretty young, but she's in her 60s.
Everyday, our class gives her grief -- and everyday, they leave her with a mess to clean up.  (The people at lunch do this too; and it really annoys me.)

Now I don't like calling her old...but the truth of the matter is, we should have the decency to put up our chairs/put away our materials after class, because it's not fair to her to have to do all of that work as well after her day - which lasts just as long...if not longer than ours.

So now I stay until they've left, and deal with the stupid chairs/the rulers left lying around/crap on the floor/etc.  I don't mind too much, but it's still a pain, because I'd really like to gtfo of school and not sit there cleaning up after assholes -- for a teacher who doesn't really like me that much.

I always tend to have this problem with the people I've been in classes with -- they lack manners.  In middle school, I was the one standing on the train rides to and from DC, because I'd given up my seat.

I've found myself debating over and over if I should continue to bother -- or just sit there and do nothing.  But I know that if I stopped,
It just wouldn't be me |D
I've already "lost my way" - so to speak.  And I'm not planning to do so again, because it was a lot of work to 'right' myself again.

After all, if I'm not myself...then who am I?

No one really understands why I do these things but I just feel obliged to follow the impulse D:

In other news, I went to a post office the other day.

But pff I mailed my packages successfully |D
And I must admit I wouldn't mind writing legit letters to anyone who wouldn't mind as well xDD

The school year is winding to a close -- I think I might be better off for the PreCal exam than I previously expected.  BUT I'M STILL GOING TO ATTEMPT TO CONVINCE MYSELF TO STUDY
I have horrendous study habits OTL

I have an HSA next week (English), and after that is I think one or two more weeks of school, after which come exams...and then I'm finally free for the summer.

Unless I decide to play summer league basketball in which case I'm still not free.

But still :'D}
